A Guide to the Kryptonian Artifacts Plotline

Elements, Ancestors, and a Fortress-- Oh My!

Season 4's major plotline involved three Kryptonian Artifacts that, when united in the season finale ("Commencement"), created the Fortress of Solitude-- Superman's headquarters and Earth's repository of Kryptonian knowledge.  The storyline spanned the entire season and was quite complex; many of its finer details require repeat viewings of episodes.  The following pages serve as a guide to the storyline and hopefully provide the information one needs to understand what turned out to be an intriguing plotline that linked Kryptonian culture with great cultures of our planet.
