Translation
This is my only chance for survival. It's not written in any language known to man. I know about the lab at Metron. It's been a long time, but I never forget a face. You can say what you mean, but it won’t change a thing-- I'm sick of the secrets. Multicolored light speeding past, washing time and reality away--you don't have an end. Clark-- It's happening! I don't like riddles, doctor. One of the cars will break loose-- I won't see you alive again. They made me into someone no one can love, not even you! Live among them, not above them. Boiling, bubbling, it turns ink-black. The Cage will shut. You won't find the answer by looking to the stars-- It's a journey you take by looking inside yourself. Trust me, there's no future in crime fighting unless you enjoy being sued. They will cry tears of blood. I should load my conscience with grave sins against the sacred spirit of lucidity. Hey, Atticus, you may want to change your shirt. According to the Greeks, he was greater in strength and stature than any other mortal. Any idea how an only child can make like the Olsen twins? Bye, Gene. May want to rethink the frames, too-- I can barely recognize you behind those things. Do you need something, Loreen? Memory seeps from my veins-- let me be empty and weightless. As he watches, her eyes close peacefully, her beauty undimmed. Didn't your parents teach you to respect your elders? No, not now... not yet... I believe you’re going to save more people in this world than you’ll ever know. She could be anyone. Brainwave.
Hidden Message
"Blue krypto" is revealed when the key is arranged in ascending numerical order. Blue kryptonite is the only thing that could destroy Bizarro in the comics... Will we hear Bizarro say "ME AM COMING" in Smallville?
Interpretation
This is my only chance for survival.
I'm guessing this refers to Adam, whose only chance for survival was the serum made from Clark's blood.
It's not written in any language known to man.
Jonathan said this to Clark in "Pilot" about the Kryptonian language on the ship's heart.
I know about the lab at Metron.
This was said by Lex to Lionel in "Resurrection." Metron is where Adam was resurrected and, later, held prisoner.
It's been a long time, but I never forget a face.
Lionel said this to Jonathan in "Jitters."
You can say what you mean, but it won’t change a thing-- I'm sick of the secrets.
These are lyrics from "Amsterdam" by Coldplay.
Multicolored light speeding past, washing time and reality away-- you don't have an end.
In "Hereafter," Jordan had the ability to see the deaths of anyone he touched. When he and Clark touched, he saw the famous red cape and 'S' shield flying through space and time. A confused Jordan told Clark, "You don't have an end."
Clark-- It's happening!
Said by Lana in "Crisis."
I don't like riddles, doctor.
In "Obscura," Dr. Hamilton showed Lex the octagonal disc for the first time. About the key, Lex said, "I don't like riddles, Doctor." Dr. Hamilton replied, "Then this object will make you profoundly unhappy... There is nothing like this alloy on this earth."
One of the cars will break loose-- I won't see you alive again.
Jordan ("Hereafter") had a vision of an old woman dying on a rollercoaster and told her she was going to die.
They made me into someone no one can love, not even you!
Byron said this to Lana in "Nocturne."
Live among them, not above them.
More of Jor-El's instructions to Clark.
Boiling, bubbling, it turns ink-black.
Clark's blood, when exposed to kryptonite, boils, bubbles, and turns black ("Resurrection").
The Cage will shut.
Perhaps this refers to Lionel being locked up in prison? The capitalization of "Cage" piques my interest though, as nothing is unintentional in the Prophecies. After all, Lt. Cage, an officer in "Crisis," was shut out of the investigation.
You won't find the answer by looking to the stars-- It's a journey you take by looking inside yourself.
Swann said this to Clark in "Rosetta."
Trust me, there's no future in crime fighting unless you enjoy being sued.
Clark said this to Lana in "Precipice." Actually, he said, "Trust me, there's no future in fighting crime unless you enjoy being sued," but that's close enough. J
They will cry tears of blood.
Adam leaked blood from his eyes on several occasions, starting with "Velocity." So did Garret’s brother, Vince ("Hereafter"). Also, there are also reports of statues, pictures, etc. crying blood, though no one knows how or why. Perhaps this is another sign of the Apocalypse?
I should load my conscience with grave sins against the sacred spirit of lucidity.
Albert Einstein wrote this in his Relativity: The Special and General Theory.
Hey, Atticus, you may want to change your shirt.
Lex this to Clark when his shirt was covered in blood ("Hug").
According to the Greeks, he was greater in strength and stature than any other mortal.
In "Obsession," while Alicia and Clark were looking at the stars from Clark's loft, Alicia said, "According to the Greeks, Orion the Hunter is greater in strength and stature than any other mortal." I think it's also important to note that parallels between Clark and famous Greek heroes are common (see the parallel between Clark and Hercules in Prophecy 3).
Any idea how an only child can make like the Olsen twins?
Pete said this to Clark about Ian Randall in "Dichotic."
Bye, Gene.
Hiram Kent, Jonathan's father, said this in "Relic" as he patted his pregnant wife's stomach; Gene was what Hiram wanted to name his son (after Gene Autrey).
May want to rethink the frames, too-- I can barely recognize you behind those things.
This sounds like it should be from "Whisper," but it's not. Perhaps it was from an earlier version of the script for that episode?
Do you need something, Loreen?
These were the last words of Max Taylor (the Daily Planet) before his secretary killed him in "Delete." However, I must point out that, when the episode actually aired, the secretary's name was Maureen rather than Loreen-- another example of scripts changing over time.
Memory seeps from my veins-- let me be empty and weightless.
These are lyrics from Sarah McLaughlan's "Angel."
As he watches, her eyes close peacefully, her beauty undimmed.
I really don't know, but I'm guessing this refers to Jordan's vision of Lana's death in "Hereafter."
Didn't your parents teach you to respect your elders?
Harry Volk said this to Clark in "Hourglass."
No, not now... not yet...
Jonathan, begging Jor-El for more time, said this while collapsing in "Hereafter."
I believe you’re going to save more people in this world than you’ll ever know.
Jonathan said this to Clark in "Resurrection."
She could be anyone.
Another reference to Tina Greer, aka "Shapeshifta Girl." Clark said this to Tina (disguised as Jonathan) in "Visage."
Brainwave.
This is the sender of the emails that caused Clark, Lana, Jonathan, and Martha to try to kill Chloe in "Delete."
