Meeting Michael Rosenbaum
The Superman Celebration
On June 10, 2006, my gracious dad drove me six hours south to Metropolis, Illinois to enjoy the annual Superman Celebration with one goal in mind: To meet Michael Rosenbaum, "Lex Luthor" himself. We left at 2 A.M. and arrived there a little after 8 A.M. We joined a line of about 50 people waiting for autographs-- a line that ended up stretching much, much further behind us. The wait felt like forever, but finally, at 10 A.M., a black SUV pulled up to the autograph tent and out stepped a young man with a full head of brown hair, a goatee, and sunglasses. It took everyone a minute to recognize Michael sans bald head and purple dress shirt, but soon applause began and continued until he took his seat and began signing autographs.
The rules of engagement were simple and fair: one autograph per person and no posed photographs (although taking candid shots while waiting in line was encouraged). Here are the pictures my dad and I took of Michael during the signing... Enjoy!

Finally, for no other reason than to embarrass myself, let's stick up a picture of me and the giant Superman statue! :)
