The Kryptonian on the blade reads "RTDSME" which, unfortunately, is gibberish.
In the Season 5 finale, "Vessel," Clark was given a dagger with which he was instructed to kill the vessel of Zod-- Lex. Here is a screenshot of that dagger (thanks to khufu):

In the Season 6 premiere, "Zod," Zod (in Lex's body) touched the spaceship and transformed it into its hard drive. Here is a shot of the ship as Zod touched it (courtesy of AM4lois):
Absolute Kingdom says these symbols seem to spell out "friend CPU" (the symbol for "friend" appeared in "Rosetta") meaning perhaps that the ship recognizes Zod as a friend. Zod then used the spaceship's hard drive to eliminate the computer virus Brainiac unleashed in "Vessel" and tapped into the Pentagon's computer system. Screenshot courtesy of khufu:
