Clark explores his family's heritage for a class assignment in "????????." Clark's family history is quite a bit more complicated than an average Kansas farmboy's, however, as his biological parents "aren't from around here." Clark went to the Talon to do a worksheet for the project and made some scribblings in Kryptonian before being approached by Lex. Startled by the intrusion, Clark crumpled the worksheet in a ball and chucked it haphazardly towards the garbage can-- this is why we affectionately refer him as "The Big Dumb Alien." Lex retrieved the crumpled ball after Clark left and was intrigued by Clark's scribblings. I have three shots of this worksheet: a wide shot and two close-ups of different parts. Let's start with one of the close-ups.
By Lex's thumb, there are two symbols in the "Father" box. The first symbol, the circle next to the triangle, looks a lot like the Kryptonian letter F and even kind of looks like the Kryptonian symbol for "crusade." I'm not sure what the symbol next to it is; it looks somewhat like the letter L. Perhaps Clark, having two fathers and two mothers, was putting both his Kryptonian parents in this box, and the L-shaped symbol is Lara's family crest? Next to the "Father" box is a drawing of the octagonal key. 'Nuff said. Moving on to the bottom of the picture, the Kryptonian letter H is next to Lex's thumb. Then, in the box that says "My Name," there's the English letter C, the Kryptonian letter L, the Kryptonian letter A, then some weird symbol. Poor Clarky can't write his own name correctly, but we love him anyways! On to the second close-up...

In the "Mother" box, there are two symbols. One looks like a Kryptonian G or J with a vertical line running through it, and the other looks sort of like a Kryptonian E. Not sure what this means. Below it, near what we saw in the other screenshot is the "My Name" box, there is another series of symbols. The first letter resembles a Kryptonian K, and the second looks like it could be a Y or maybe a U. The circle is either an English O or a Kryptonian L with a missing vertical line. The next symbol looks like a sideways top hat, so maybe it's supposed to be a Kryptonian B, and the last symbol seems to be Clark practicing his shading skills. Finally, the hand seems to be partially covering a giant Kryptonian N.
The worksheet in its entirety is pretty cool and helps put some of this into perspective, so here's the wide shot of it:

Starting in the upper left-hand corner, there's what looks like a Kryptonian Q with two dots below it. Next, the box for Clark's father's mother's father contains two circles with arrows whooshing out of the page-- indicative of alien origins. To the right of this, above the box for Clark's mother's father's father, there appears to be a tiny S-shield or Kryptonian S or El family crest. Next to it is a symbol I don't recognize, but it looks kind of like Season 4's "water" symbol. Next to that symbol appears to be a drawing of the octagonal disc with the strange triangle shape that appeared when Walden put the key in the cave wall. The triangle is upside down, but that's pretty darn close!
Directly below these symbols are some kind of four-leaf clover thingy and what kind of looks like a bullet as seen through Clark's super vision. Further down, by the box for Clark's maternal grandmother, there is what looks like a little drawing of perhaps Krypton exploding. To the left of this is a rather detailed drawing of the Kryptonian letter O. Over on the left, by the box for Clark's paternal grandmother, there's what looks like a little space helmet with a spaceman inside! How cute! Again, indicative of alien origins. To the left of this is a bigger, longer version of the symbol for "Father." The symbol for "Father" resembles the Kryptonian letter F, and the symbol for "Grandfather" resembles the Kryptonian letter P. The wide shot also reveals a symbol in the lower left-hand corner that looks like a martini glass with two olives. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be. We can also see, thanks to the wide shot, a letter W over the large N in the lower right-hand side of the worksheet.
There are also a couple more symbols and scribblings at the bottom of the worksheet, but they are largely unintelligible. Perhaps the most important things to notice are the giant El family crest and drawing of the octagonal key in the center of the worksheet. These are, after all, the two drawings that most intrigued Lex.
